Hi everybody!
I am an english guy living in argentina and i am getting into welding.
i would love to have some help on deciding what make of mig welder to buy.
the majority of make over here i have never heard of like dogo ,conarc and tamig.
esab welders are available but the smashweld 180 model costs 1000 pounds!
Has anybody heard of any of these makes? Thanks chaps!

A special thanks to my new friend chonkoliniwhat an inspiration !I hope you are recovering quickly ! I am getting there slowly but surely. I have got my decision down to two esab models, a caddy mig 200 or a smashweld 257.
The caddy seems to be pretty much the same but its a converter (smalleri think ?) But knowing the technology here in argentina im a little worried about repairs and parts if i would need them. The smashweld seems to be an older model and there fore easier to fix ?????
Ps i didnt get to see the dakar this year but last year , I waited 7 hours to see the lorrys come past where i live and the never turned up !haha argy organisation has alot to be desired.

I figured it was you. I hope you find the welder you need, once you are sorted this is the place for support and advice. Also a fair bit of weirdness.
