ok we have a brother ls2125 mechine my other half needs a new needle as one of my kids used it and snaped it soit has not been used for a while

looking on line there does not seam to be any certain ones for that make are they all the same ?

We have three different machines and they all use the same needles. There are different gauges for different materials but ours all have the same fitting into the holder

According to SWIMBO not all needles are the same but there are General Sewing needles that will do most jobs.

the end that goes in the machine differs depending upon the manufacturer.
they can be cylindrical, or have one or more flats, and also have different diameters.

Needle size/system 130/705 or 15x1, anything in that size, with the point match the material being sewn.

after some help from here found a cheap ish set online and there on there way to us there listed as for that mechine so should be sorted i resisted the china carp so should be sorted for the next few years as how often its used but at the moment its been sat there for a least a year as otherhalf was getting some but never got round to it been sorting out the front room and its been sat there not touched and in the way so i got on the case talk about thed blind leading the blind when it come to buying what it needed

Our local sewing shop sells them £2 for 5 needles not really daylight robbery.

Just saying it's not always better to get stuff off the internet, the needles are all pretty much the same thing in different packaging. I have never broken one but I have bent them and blunted them due to inattention when sewing heavy material. They are cheap enough because they are a regularly replaced consumable. Check which way they fit in the holder as well, most of ours thread from the left but one threads from the front.

my have to down load the instructions as i never used it my son used it and snaped the neddle and i dout after a year any one remembers how it was put in

You usually loosen the thumbscrew and put the needle in upwards into its slot with the flat to the holder, push it up then tighten the screw back up

ok needles turned up this morning come home from work fitted one seams to befine

so got the orignal box there was a load of carp in there paper letters a few plastic bags so i went through it throwning out any thing rubish

opened a green packet there was 5 spare needles in there gerrrr said did did you not even looking the box before saying the needles broken and you cant replace it reply oh its ok they will all get used

me thinking its well be a mircle if it ever get used at all but at least it can be used now even though we now got 10 needles for it

I used mine the other day to shorten the legs on a pair of lined jeans, nice and warm on the legs now. Not many weeks go by when I don't use it at least once.

Bought a brand new flame retardant work jacket for myself, as I was fed up using the hubby’s old fleece in the hut. It was way too big, but extremely cheap. Spent an evening last week unpicking the seams, and restitching it.

Ok, probibly more efficient to pay for the right size in the first place, but I felt I was getting a bit rusty with my seamstress skills.

Now a happy bunny.
