Herbert Junior Surface Grinder Oil Cap

Does anyone have any pictures of the later Herbert Jnr Surface Grinder, specifically the oil cap, just above the plunger (later type grinder), mine is missing the oil cap and would like to make another and interested in what the original looked like, there's a chain in mine to stop the cap from going missing... that obviously works a treat!

This is not a great answer, but it is a start. There are some brief flashes of the cap in this video, and also in his part 2 video:

All the pictures you see of them online, the saddle is covering the cap, so that does not help...

As the pump oiler is Tecalemit, I wonder if the whole unit, including the capped bit, might have been supplied by them, so looking around at their stuff might bear fruit.

Thanks argoshield, yes all the images show the cap covered, thanks for the video link I didn't think of that, looks like a flat top knurled brass affair. Probably had a hoop for the chain underneath.

I can get a picture of one of the many all over my Herbert lathe; they are as you suggest knurled and flat topped.

A bit of old rag would be preferable to leaving it open like that, obvious grinding dust in threads and round the pump, so presumably grit has been going into the oil pump too.

I took the rag plug out for the picture, it's always had one in it.
