help with wire fitting

can i fit a 5kg spool of wire straight onto a clarke 151EN. i normally use the baby rolls of wire with the small hole but was hoping to fit the larger spool but the roll i have has a huge hole in the middle.

the 151 Should come with an adapter for the 5kg rolls.

Hi carcrash!
If my memory's correct you will need what they call an adaptor to fit the bigger reel of wire, it fits on the reel of wire and then you can "click" it into your machine....
And if i'm wrong....i'm sure one of the more experienced forum members will drop in to correct me!...............uhm..........i hope......

I've got a 151te and used both sized reels with no adaptor.
I seem to remember the plastic bits that the reels sit on have a step in them to take both sizes.
That's only what i seem to remember so it could well be wrong.

On my welder i cut an empty small reel to make an adaptor for 5kg reels

Carcrash,the plastic holder for the small reels of wire might be reversible,i know mine is on the 120E mk2.
