I have a wse200 tig welder that just stopped working, I know it is only a china copy but would like it repairing if possible. I hope there may be some one on this forum that can offer some advice or know who can repair it.

Try your local welding supplers, they normally know the local repairer or can recommend someone who can, Otherwise is company is pretty good http://www.r-techwelding.co.uk/repairs.php
I bought one of these cheap china imports and it went pop after about 2 months. I went a bit mad (politely) at the importer when I took a look inside to find burnt out Power MOSFETs on one of the circuit boards. They offered to receive it back for repair or to send out some replacement parts if I was comfortable in doing the repairs myself. As I am a qualified electronics engineer I was comfortable with doing the repairs myself so got them to send me the parts. This worked fine and I got it back to a working state. They did admit to a design fault and got me to cut out a diode from one of the boards. Its not clear if that caused the problem but to this day (now about 2years on) it's still working fine. I did check the calibration of the current settings after I did the repair as I managed to get a 400A current clamp and meter on loan. I found the calibration to be way out compared with the value displayed. It was correct at about 80 amps but much higher on lower settings and lower on higher settings so it never got to the maximum rated value. I did suspect this problem as I always had to mess around to get the best current setting. After I did the calibration I plotted the results on a graph and used it as a look-up table i.e. if I wanted 110A I looked at the graph to get the setting required on the machine. I don't have the welding set any more as I sold it to a friend but he uses it quite a lot to this day. I ended up buying a Murex AC220A with water cooler from SPA in sussex which is a really nice bit of kit. Good Luck with the repairs, It would be worth you taking the case off (with power disconnected) to see if there is anything obvious. Be careful if you consider powering up with the case off as they are a bit of a death trap, not the best bit of engineering I have ever come across.
I thought WSE just referred to a standard Chinese used design - not to a manufacturer? (I.e. there are a few manufacturers making these machines to a similar, but not always identical, design)
