Thats how winch boy managed to buy it, it went cheap as it have quite a few wrong year bits on it and it has a Mercedes 3L 5 pot diesel engine, so whilst the rivet counters will hate it its right up winchboys street as it should do double to the gallonThat's a SIII front on it. Definitely not right.

the engine was up to the 90’s models too 300d

Mercedes made the 617 from 1974 fitted in the W115 ( Stacked headlight) up until 1991, later ones usually have a turbo.Late 80s to mid 90s MBs used the OM602 / 603 engine
Ours is missing and is bodges with alldorts of rubbish I am not convinced it has full travel? A pic would be good incase we ever get around to fixing it, no hurry though. My Daughter would love your Mercy she is obsessed by the older modelsSorry, I don't. The throttle linkage is surprisingly complex on these. I can post a photo if it would be useful (mine's in fact a 616)?
