Help Sourcing M14 x 300mm High Tensile Bolts for Ford Ranger Upper Control Arm Swap

Up to 2015 - 1725796, about £36 on the bay from Stoneacre
From 2015 - 1886184, it jumps up to £130 from the same source.

Both are cheaper from allcarpartsfast dot co dot uk

You have a lathe…. Bar stock, thread both ends and use nyloc nuts

That is an option now, yes.

I have some EN24 bar which should be suitable.

I am away for the weekend and don't have the part number handy now. I did search before but could not find anything cheaper. I did find a result in Australia which were ~220 AUS dollars. Roughly the same price as here.

The Australian Ranger is not the same as the European Ranger. its slightly larger and Ford put the Lion V6 2.7 in it, there was an Estate base on the same platform called the Territory

The bolts arrived! Including the used, not needed upper control arms.

The bolts look to be in great condition.

I can now confirm it is 10.9 bolts that are required (I couldn't quite see the markings on my old bolts due to the angle).

Actually a bit shorter than what I thought I needed. I must have measured kak-handed while it was fitted to truck.

Quick test just to make sure they are long enough.

I just need a little time to fit the upper control arms and then schedule it for a wheel alignment.
I need the truck for work tomorrow, so I won't be able to fit the upper control arms tonight and get an alignment.

Today was bolt-cut day.

It was still tight to get the grinder in there due to the windscreen washer bottle. I couldn't be bothered to take it off.

Managed to cut through it about halfway before there was no more clearance for the grinder. Turned the bolt 180 degrees and finished the cut.

The passenger side was easier.

I then installed both new upper control arms and sprayed the new upper control arms with Bilt Hamber Dynax UC (a clearish colour) and some of the other components/chassis with Bilt Hamber UB (a brownish colour).

I also saw that the rubber splash guard holes where the plastic fasteners go through were all torn through. You have to remove it to change the oil filter. Looks like previous garages just ripped it instead of carefully removing the fasteners. Sigh.
Ordered a new one on eBay for around £16.

Tomorrow morning, I need to refit all the plastic fasteners holding the splash guards on, secure the ABS wires to the new UCAs, and refit the wheels.

Then I must try to find a place that can do wheel alignment tomorrow or Saturday.
Quickfit is the closest and most convenient option, but you never know what kind of workmanship you'll get there......

I wonder why the camber is still out.

Because it doesn't look like they have touched it?

That looks more like a tracking than a 4-Wheel Alignment.

But it is Kwik Fit where it all depends on what 'engineer' you get on the day.

If you didn't tell them they were adjustable arms, and how to do it, I doubt they even looked.

I had to take my own camber gauge to a local place claiming 4 wheel alignment when they really meant 4 wheel toe with the gear they had. Found a different place with the all dancing gear and a willingness to use it.

The Hunter Hawkeye is indeed a great system.
It does indeed have 14 high-definition sensors.
Unfortunately, on your report, half of them are greyed out
