Go on then what did he tell you to change ?

A few things but but tourch angle mainly and smaller arc length,, + watched a few vids on the *tube.,.,.,.
Think you can see the welds ok if not let me know and try and get some more put on fourm ,,BUT would like feed back on how to clean the rust of,,

Well done John ,looking good......are you trying to clean them to be inspected? or for yourself?...I would imagine wire brush ,but i'm not sure if they still need inspection .........it strikes me that colleges have changed for the worst since i was studying ,hence the number of people ,taking courses,and still asking questions here rather than their lecturers providing the answers ...........

Well the tutor said there ok BUT i want to clean them up for the examiner from city n guilds to inspect as to look good (( well i hope)),,

YOU HAVE TO REMEMBER THESE ARE VERTICAL WELDS except the tube to plate,, But still got loads to learn,,

Just an update All seems to be ok Pieces been wire brushed up and given in to tutor to pass on to CnG inspector so all can do for now is wait and see weather the inspector passes or fails the 5 test pieces,,,
