Hi all..
I’ve a thread issue..
The male steel thread is fine but the female one is no longer, it’s alloy and although it doesn’t look too bad it slips under load..
Thread wise on the male it seems to be imperial as far as i can tell.. It’s like 13.5mm or on a calliper it’s one small digit above half inch which though i’m not good at imperial i guess maybe 9/16 inch perhaps?
I don’t know what the USA use but this is off a DeWalt although i think B&D own them now..
They have been useless tbh.. The machine works great apart from this so i’d like to repair it but have no idea how to as such .. An insert possibly ?
Steel male thread and faulty alloy threaded body part ..
Thanks for your help..
