Help needed with pcb repair

I know that there are one or two members who are adept at pcb repair.
My problem is that a surface mount connector has become detached and it's way beyond my ability to repair it.
The connector is 0.5mm pitch.

It connects the two boards at 90°.
I did notice that one of the pads has lifted (4th along from the left, top row, lower board).
Any help appreciated. There's no rush for this.

Also beyond my physical ability tho I've done small stuff in the past, well out of practise..

Is the connectors purpose, just to join the boards at 90 degrees, or is there some other connection/cable that slots into it?

Hand soldering that connector will be impossible as there will be no access on the bottom row. Wave or smd air gun might do it?

My suggestion would be to green wire the connection with two flex cables of the same pitch and use some alternative means of ridgidly fixing the boards position.
Luckily the lifted fourth trace, goes to a big pad shared with the next four connections and the 5 below.

you can solder it but you need a few things mag glass a pointed soldering iron

that connector looks like straight through connections

Connector in decent shape or you have a new one? Bung it in the post to me and I'm sort it out.

0.5mm pitch is a by eye job but I do have kit to make it quicker . Blessed with very good eyesight and I try to take care of it.

looks like a hot air job (not that id beable to do it as just dont do enough of it but) trace repair then tin all pads put boards together heat back of the board up to melting of solder and hold untill it sets

bit slow as some one offered as posting its not an easy job as you wont beable to touch up afterwords

Not in the slightest, just a soldering iron with a decent small tip on it. Weapon of choice is a JBC Nase Workstation with C115 cartridges - they're dinky and 0.2mm pitch isn't difficult with them. Admittedly not the cheapest soldering iron but it's bloody good if you do it on a daily basis.

not that i know a large amount about soldering ive done quite a bit as hobbie stuff for years

but if the board is mounted front to frount (eg sandwich together) i can see being able to solder the side near the edge but how do you get to the top ones as the boards will be covering any access to getting the iron in there ?

Ah I may have misunderstood, but I don't think I have, but I'm fairly sure it's two connectors that mate together, one on each PCB.

Otherwise it's a pretty much unmanufacturable PCB in the first instance.

If you zoom in (it's a bit blurry) but it looks like two connectors plugged into each other. Probably so @Seadog doesn't loose them.

if it is 2 not to bad a job id have still tryed hot air from under neath if theres no other bits to burn on the other side of board

but have done a ps5 pins with a small head but my eyesight if not that great these days i realy need maglight with high magnifaction but dont do much these days so cant spend the moneys

Whats throwing people I think is that the connector is lying on its side to show its pins that face the board, and sticks straight up when in correct orientation and there's two of them mating as said. You can see the anchor tag that gives it a bit of mechanical strength besides the pad connections so the pads dont pull off when its un-mated. I think its lost one of the anchor tabs from the connector and maybe has led to its demise...

I'd tackle that under a lit magnifier. I used to be able to do a lot more close up work, but I had my eyes lasered about 25 years ago for myopia, and now I'm going long sighted with age so I'm sposed to wear glasses to read with.
Still, I'll take having to own and use a few magnifiers and inspection microscopes over having to wear prescription glasses in a helmet for 25 years...
But you are nearer and have accepted the baton already

Keep a eye on Lidl's centre isle, about 30 quid, plug in magnifiers with a ring light round the outside works wonders. I now have 3 of them for different work areas & I have deep pockets and short arms...
