Hi there
I was getting sick of starting the genny for small lathe jobs, and remembered i have a vfd, only occasionally used for a 3 phase extractor fan.
Its a 4kw rated Yaskawa V1000 drive which i figured even if its underpowered for the lathe motor its bound to manage most small jobs?
The original starter switch has an adjustable emm... thing.. its set at about 7 amps, would that be per phase?
I did eventually manage to play around and it working, but its pretty gutless, and seems to top out at 4 amps ish, where the drive is capable of 17.5a
Anyone good with figuring out the settings i should be tweeking?
Or is this type of old motor just not suitable for use with a VFD?
cheers for any help!
