Hi, I am in need of 2 bits of metal tapping with an 8VI thread (.307 x 32 TPI)
They are both alloy, neither is a blind hole so should be easy enough to tap
I have been looking for seemingly years to try and get a keyless 3 jaw chuck for my rotary tool without success
I thought I'd found one last year - but alas it turned up with a much smaller hole and metric thread that doesn't fit
I emailed the seller, who was convinced they had one that would fit...again too small and metric once it had landed through my letterbox
I did read that someone had bought the same 3 jaw keyless chuck and it fitted a Lidl (Parkside) branded Dremel-a-like
Today Lidl had the rotary tools in - so grabbed one and dug out the 3 jaw chuck I had bought what seems a lifetime ago....and it doesn't fit (it is the same chuffing size thread as my old "Silverline" one ....and the no name one that went before it...- all appear to have the same spindle thread - 8VI Schrader- according to my valve caps on the motorbike/car/wheelbarrow)
Each of these rotary tools has cost less than the price of a suitable tap
Has anyone got a suitable tap they are willing to wind through 2 small bits of alloy for me?
I can drill them out to a suitable size to make the task as painless as possible
Willing to pay postage, for time and tool wear
Regards
Rob
