Help needed, plastic chrome trim

Hello, the roof join on a Citroen DS has either a stainless steel or aluminium trim. My estate version should have aluminium.
Both types of trim are unobtainable or really expensive.
My car had chrome plastic trim, which shattered when I tried to remove it.
The plastic stuff reminds me of the wheel rim trim used on original Minis.

Any ideas where I could get this trim? The original metal type comes in two or three foot lengths.

Woolies? Worth checking their website, the stock loads of trims

Get a section of 20mm alloy box and cut it. Polish it with your favourite polishing paste.

I thought of 20mm box, I shall investigate further, thanks.
