Have you an idea of what kind of thickness you usually have to weld?Ah I get it now. Sorry for some stupid questions. It's just I want to pick the best welder for what I'm doing . I only ever used stick
The rtec seems to be a good machine . Have you had any issues with it at all
Ok i think that you just need a small unit 150A is enough for what you would like to doI'd generally welding anything from exhaust pipe up to 15mm steel. Stick welding exhaust is a pain
A friend had a swp 280, said the same, I disqualified it from my search at that time,I bought the 410 oxford on single phase serious machine worth every penny. Great value for money and duty cycle, that swp 280 I had one it was a horrible plant.
A TransSteel 2200 would be good enough, small enough to weld the light stuff,I'd generally welding anything from exhaust pipe up to 15mm steel. Stick welding exhaust is a pain
Daily use requires a good unit so forget about cheaper unitsI'd probably do a few hours a day every day
They are like Ferrari in welding termsI think I will take asechand look at the transsteel 2200 . They seem to be well built
