Hi, I need some assistance from an engineering hive mind.

I need a ball joint/rod end that has a boot over the ball, and a hex on the ball to be able to turn the threaded end into a fixture.
the thread needs to be m12x1.75 and the female thread that goes on the rod needs to be m14x1.5

something like this...

Is m12 on both threads?

Next question is best way to change an m12x1.75 to an m12x1.25

Is how i did my track rod ends on my pop, just use a 14mm hi tensile bolt through the assembly with a lock nut
EDIT cap screw to take the dust cover

Yeah that was the original plan as I currently have a rose joint. But I’m not convinced with that boot personally and with me redoing the outer joints I thought I’d try and find something that fits from the off instead of making something fit

Done 15000 miles in mine and just a check over in the winter and a bit more grease does the trick

I don't quite get what you are looking for, you buy the boots seperately and they are pretty much universal, The hex bit is not needed, you just put an adjustable across the flats to turn it.

You quite simply put a bolt through the rod end, this can be any pitch you want. Try here:

I GET IT NOW,you are looking for TRACK ROD ENDS. I on the other hand, have bearings on the brain so the obvious solution from me is a Rose Joint!!!!

Would that not lead to a sloppy fit as the shank diameter of an M12 bolt, for example, is slightly smaller than 12mm? You would also have issues with thread length - using a setscrew would be worse as the major dia. of the threads is smaller than that of the shank. A shoulder bolt would provide the correct fit, but none are made with a short enough shoulder to suit a rose joint.

its what i currently have now, but the setup I have means I have to take the rosejoint off to adjust the toe of the wheel. so im redoing the setup I have and if im redoing it I would rather have a traditional style ball joint instead of a rose joint. (ive already lost the inserts on them so id rather it all be contained)

but because I have a threaded fit into my hubs instead of a tapered shaft like a normal tie rod end I needed one with the hex on the end to drive it into the hub.

ive bought the ones linked above for now anyway so we will see how that goes. im not worried about the size of the female thread too much as I need to made an adaptor anyway.
