Help! Land rover owner’s

Could any one tell me the length of a series 2, 2a or 3 88” front and rear prop shafts from flange to flange compressed length and extended length if possible

noo lol i think i have fount another use for them (buggy drive shafts)
i dont own a landy nomore there to expensive here unless you wont a new one and they dont sell the defender

They will be very heavy drive shafts. Unsprung weight is just what you don't want.

Can't you grab something from a FWD car? The diff is more often than not off centre so you could grab the long side fron 2 cars. They will also be easier lengthen if you need to.

Why use LR components at all? they're not going to be common where you are, and as Andy said, they're far from ideal.

thats what we did lastime we used golf mk 2 shafts but we need the two flanges, frout wheel drive cars are not that comon here and the parts are hevey ( the seam to think enaything below a 4.0 cant do anything)
+ they are not acherly that hevey i have changed them before
as daft as it sounds it will work out cheeper as the only cost $60 each and when you need 6 of them that little saveing $20 on each of them soon adds up
it is also a huge pain in the **** to set up FWD to RWD blev me i have done it before

drive shaft's from front wheel drive cars are splined and i don’t want that i need the flanges

trust me I have done this before and this time I am avoiding all the problems we had on the 1st one

also the land rover shafts have a splined joint to alow for the articulation of my wheel
