I have read various articles on the forum re welders, i am looking to do a car project, and need to carry out some spot welds/ plug welds to part of the body work , as well as some other welding as well on some of the seams. i have been looking at various welders , i know that i want a mig unsure if i can get away with a gasless, i believe a gas/ gasless will give me best of both worlds and the gas will aid in a better weld. i have also seen some inverters , which i think i understand , 1st question is can i get away with just getting a inverter no gas welder, or should i really get a gas/gasless inverter one. I have seen a company called Rohr that do a mig 200 invertor gas /gasless welder and is £300 although i have seen a ROHR MIG Welder Inverter IGBT 240V / 200 amp DC Gas Flux Wire Welding Machine for £219 , much more what i was hopping to spend. any help always appreciated. the last time i welded was 20 years ago at school, so i am a novice.
