help im new to tig

i have a usr inverter and always used it for arc welding but now want to try out the tig on it. i have the gun with nozzles and collets and a tungsten rod with a red band on the end. also just ordered some filler rods. the only thing im miffed about is gas? theres a fitting on the back of the welder saying air scoop what is this for. i was thinking it was for the gun with a black button on it. what am i missing? basically what do i need to start tig welding. i know i have to ground the tungsten to a point longways. many thanks in advance

If it is a Chinese machine, the labeling can be downright comical. "Air scoop" is probably a poor translation from "gas inlet".

Post some picts of the connections and controls, someone should identify the type of connections.

It's called a torch for tig welding not a gun and the nozzles are ceramics. Does the torch have a valve or a button to activate a gas solenoid? Some basic tig machines have valved torches which connect directly to the gas regulator.
