I'm currently refurbishing an old MIG and one of the jobs is converting to a euro connector. The mounting plate for the current setup is made from a plastic that I don't recognise. I may need a new sheet as there's quite a lot of redundant holes in this one. I know there's a few members who work with plastic and wondered if they could identify it:
It's 10mm thick and is very rigid and dense. There are very clear strata visible as in the picture.
Any idea on what it is or what a suitable replacement would be, acetyl perhaps?
