That looks like a gas connection and a torch connection, the return socket has no lead in it, I wondered if the op has just been arcing with the HF and no return lead, I've seen dafter things.I might be wrong, but it looks to me like the torch and the earth are both on the neg? Seems to be a specific dinse for the torch and then a separate pos and neg, for the stick leads
