Hi everyone ,time 2 or 3 weeks and I should be able to buy a plasma cutter
I felt the need of one of this toys in many occasions in the last 2 years so I think it's time to get one , unfortunately my budget allows me to buy only cheap units so...
There are an hudge amount of different cheap plasma out there on eBay and Amazon but it's difficult to make a choice
Cutting out stahlwerk from the equation because I think that it's a general CUT40/50 with a different housing and a better warranty(if buying on eBay doesn't makes difference) but for the same price I could take almost 2 units that are probably identical to stahlwerk inside
I found two units that gives me kind of good feeling just watching them
150 euro for a CUT50
No pilot arc
IGBT based
PT31 torch
180 euro for a CUT50 P
Pilot arc
Inverter (they don't say if is IGBT or MOSFET)
AG-60 torch
Since I read somewhere that hypertherm units are IGBT based ...
I would like to go with the first one but I think that I need pilot arc
(That I could even add to the first buy putting a 25ohm resistor in series between the nozzle and the workpiece dinse connector )
In both cases I will replace the torch after a while with a trafimet style P80 torch , because I can put fine consumables for general cutting, gouging consumables , and I found drag shields and gouging shields for this torch
And I will replace almost instantaneously the power cord and I will put a proper plug
Pilot arc one

No pilot arc one

What you would pick up?
Ps both should be delivered from Czech Republic
