Help argon/co2 mix & regulator help

hi im atempting to weld 1mm car panels, ie floor etc, and im steering clear of disposables (lol) so what mix do i get my bottle filled up to, its mild steel 1mm im welding, and im at a loss were to start, also what regulator do i get for my bottle is it the twin gauge regulator !!, and if so how do you set them up, thanks for any help/advice

Try your local calor gas suppliers, many now sell a variety of bottled gas including welding gas.

I got a co2 bottle and an argon/co2 bottle at excellent prices.

For your welding its either co2 pub gas or nicer to use its argon/co2, classed as 95% argon/5%co2..there is actually a bit of oxygen in it too but its always called 95/5.

For a regulator of good quality and fair price give Steve a ring at weldequipe with your bottle details and he will sort the correct one.

Forgot the 'set up' question...
You simply open the regulator valve until the 'flow' dial shows close to 10 litres per min when the torch trigger is pulled.

Thats for welding in a draught free environment, you may have to up it a little if outside but virtually any wind or breeze makes outdoor welding difficult with gas and means having to introduce wind breaks etc.
