Help and advice on a mig upgrade please.

Hi, I'm currently looking at upgrading my portamig 215 to something more substantial, probably in the 400a region. A lot of the work I do is agricltural repairs (I know sick is still king but mig is nice and quick for workshop use), 4x4 modifications (winch bumper builds etc) as well as general fab jobs that land on the bench and the little portamig isn't quite up to the job. The machine will be used day in day out so I need something reliable, I've been looking at some of the bigger tecarc plants as they are a local company but can't really find any reviews on them. Budget isn't really an issue as I know you get what you pay for and at the end of the day it earns me a living so I will happily invest in a good one. Sorry for the long winded post but any reviews on machines would be apriciated.

I just sold a Magys 450 that would've done you perfectly.
Would you prefer compact or separate wire feed?

I'd prefer separate wire feed.

My son in the agricultural business has a large Tec-arc mig with separate wire feeder, It performs flawlessly but weighs a "ton". He leaves it inside the shed inside a lockable container and has pretty long leads to the wire feeder

That's exactly why I'd prefer a deprecate feeder, save having to drag a big machine all over the workshop.

No fixed budget really, I obviously want to pay as little as possible for the best machine but I know realistically it doesn't work like that!!
