Hi guys,
Been asked to look into a loading gate for a mezzanine floor for a company iv been doing some other work for.
at the minute the have to unbolt a section of the hand rail that goes around the mezzanine floor to lift up pallets, not measured it, but at a guess i would say it leaves an opening of around 3 meters.
my idea was to half this so they can get a pallet through and make a swing gate that blocks the staff room door and make a temp barrier to stop people walking accorss when gate is open.
ofther option would be to make one that rolls out the way (more difficult) or one that lifts up like a parking barrier.
what are rules and regs for this .
my other concern was pallet truck rolling off the end potentially, so 1 idea was to make a lip that it would stop on but small enought to allow fork truck to drop pallet and still get out (if this makes any sense)
iv tried to do a paint diagram which will hopefully make abit more sense.
