I won't get a chance to have a play with it in earnest until my Portamig arrives and I source some gas, but initial impressions are good.
Project Gordini eh - would that be one of the R5 Gordini's? I have great memories of a 3 week camping trip a long time ago in the South of France driving one of those. Amazing acceleration and the turbo was addictive.
It was a mates car and the great thing about it was it was actually one of the "Le Car 2" special edition range. This meant although it was a Gordini under the skin, from the outside it looked just like the rather more ordinary "Le Car 2" special edition, so it was the ultimate stealth car!!!
It even had special wider versions of the normal Le Car 2 steel wheels. I remember taking it into a garage to have the steering looked at in France, and the mechanic didn't believe it was a Gordini spec turbo-ed car until we opened the bonnet.
Don't see many around now, but I liked the classic R5 shape, especially with the slightly lowered Gordini style sport suspension 3 door body and wider wheels.
