Welcome to the forum. Have you tried pulling the trigger

As above the trigger is the first thing to check, first that you are pulling it, the trigger, then check that it is doing what it should back to the control board in the welder.

You need to be competent as there will be mains voltage at the control board.

welcome to the forum ,,, if its a euro torch , take it off and bridge the trigger contacts , at the machine end ,, or meter the switch at the torch end ,,, as good a point as any to start with , if you have a meter and are comfortable using it ,,
a bit of history ,,, was it working recently , have you just bought it ,, did you find it in a skip ,,, etc etc etc
