hi there im a complete novice but i like weldind and metalwork and own a suzuki samurai off roader so its allways handy to not need to rely on anyone else for things like this. all i really want to know is what wire would come as standard on my sealey supermig 185 and what are the benefits beetween say 0.6 and 0.8 ???? it just puzzles me
If it's a new machine you have ordered it will be supplied with a little piddling test spool, with a few metres of wire on at most...usually 0.8mm diameter. For thin sheet such as car bodywork use 0.6mm & for thicker section, say above 2-2.5mm+ use 0.8mm (making sure you change the wire feed rollers round to the correct size groove for wire diameter in use).
