hi there , stumbled upon this site whilst looking for info on a sip 105 turbo migmate i got from ebay i havent welded for about ten years now and that was arc welding so this mig stuff is pretty cool
my 1989 saab 900 t16s needs a few patches done on the floor and in the bootspace , i did one patch last night to try out the welder , my technique needs some refining looking at some of the welds you guys can do anyone from the central belt fancy giving a few pointers ?

as well as the saab i've got the sister in laws car to weld up as well , a few big holes on that got a start on it last night and done a part of the cill section , getting better

Best bet is to get yourself some 1-1.5mm metal, and play around with it. I learned by doing that, and was fortunate enough to have a mate round who welds on glow in the dark stuff for her Madge, so he knows what he's doing, I hope!
