Been meaning to register on this forum for a while now and finally got round to it. I've been on an evening class introduction to welding at a local agricultural college and armed with a scant knowledge of welding I'm prepared to have a go at a few projects in time. I own a couple of old Series Land Rovers and being able to patch them up was my primary driver for learning to weld. I have a stick welder which is a bit too heavy even for chassis work on a land rover so I'm looking to buy a decent MIG welder for that purpose. I'll post elsewhere to see what others recommend.
