Hi everybody, my name is juan. I am 38 yrs old, from california and I currently attend Cal-Trade Welding school. I currently passed blueprints,symbols,stick,mig and dualshield certs I have two more certs in innershield to complete in order to become a truly certified welder. I am very pleased with myself for learning a trade that is not only rewarding for myself, but for my customers as well. I hope to enter the field of welding for the railroad as I've always liked trains since childhood. Thank you and have a nice day.

Sounds interesting. I bet when you get to weld rails with thermite it will be a blast

Many here are self taught (like myself). Will be good to have some more all-around trained welders to pick their brains.

Welcome to the forum, it's great to have you on board. You have more training than most of us on here, though we have got some experienced professional welders that should be able to help you out if you get stuck. More likely you'll be answering our questions instead.

You mentioned the piggy bank avatar in another thread. Difficult to see it in such a small image. Is it a Miller?
