Does anyone have any experience of using "pure" helium for TIG welding??
I can get Helium a damn sight cheaper than Argon and without rental and was wondering if it would be worth giving it a go?????
I know it needs about double the flow rate of Argon on account of its density but was hoping as it ran hotter that I could work really quick...
It used to be used all the time when TIG first came about and had it's issues but I'm willing to give it a try if I can get results with it...

Jim.
