Helical Anchor

I have a set of helical anchors that were originally from Canada and I want to reproduce them. The shaft is 14mm thick with a ring on the top which is no problem for me to do BUT my problem is the Screw-type blade on the bottom end of the anchor which is 100mm wide and made out of steel flat 2mm thick.

Does anyone know how to make this part?!

very simple, it's a round piece with a slot cut in it, and then twisted. You might have to experiment with the hole in the centre

That is an Archimedes screw, as found in spiral or screw conveyors, to make them accurately they need to be formed in a press tool as they are a fully twisted surface, although for your purposes, you could cut out an annulus or washer shape, cut a slit in it and pull it out,

I have tried with a flat 2mm thick x 100mm round steel plate and a hole with slot cut added and believe me it was a bitch to turn it into a proper helical shape!! And thats just the one!! Never mind needing four or more!

At the end of the day,I just wanted to know if there is some press or conical roller that could take the hard work out of this.

Its a true 3d shape there is no flat development for them, something close can be made, I've done it many times, but as I said a press tool is the only truly accurate way, pressedflights is a company that have invested in the proper tooling and they are not that expensive either.
