Heavy drinking rats

I left a temporary fuel tank on a generator I was working on last night , this morning its been knackered , what kind of Rab C Nesbit level rat is drinking petrol !

I had some methyl chloride in a plastic 5 litre can....something ate through the plastic and the liquid disappeared....must have been rats or squirrels....never found any dead ones

Got 50 litres of 99.9% isopropyl alcohol in the shed, they've probably set up a bar in there and are having and disco nights.

probably squirrels I nearly caught one in the wheelybin at a school I work at a nice round hole in the lid and it was inside was going to pan it on the head with a shovel but it escaped just in time tree rats

I remember my mate telling me that kids were cutting brake hoses in his area....was in the local rag....later turned out to be foxes who had acquired a taste for brake fluid!

This was some time ago...back in the days when kids weren't afraid to get their new trainers dirty I guess!

^^^ I think the original article said they were attracted to the fluid itself...think it was the glycol but maybe thinking has moved on....must have been over 12 years ago on the original story.

I know from newspaper reports that antifreeze is lethal to cats, I wonder if it has a similar effect on mice and rats?
