If you're mucking about with heat, there is zero point using an electrical battery. They're expensive and have a finite life.
If you go the electric -heat route and want to store it, night storage heaters are hard to beat. Cheap second hand and, because they can get a lot hotter than water, are more energy dense. Though, water is also cheap, so, if you can store a lot of it, in an I insulated space, that may suit you.
If you have the site for it, (North Uist?), A wind turbine plus a few panels may give you exactly what you want for 90+% of the time. Turbines that work aren't cheap though, so make sure you have a suitosite first!
Frankly though, if you manage to set up a reliable renewable heating system, stick the radiator in your house!

The chinese copy diesel heaters don't (well they do but they exhaust outside).

Read an article about a farmer that did this under a concrete floored, straw bedded cattle shed. It worked to preheat immersion heater water a bit.
However, you don't get something for nothing. That system would have been constantly "fed" with new compostable material and only drawn off in a batch. If a heap is over cooled you might risk reducing the bacterial activity that's doing the warming.

Forget the horsesh1t and use the copper coil to make your own still, then you won't care what the temperature is in the shed....
The diesel heaters people are referencing are the ones that are all over the internet, they don't directly heat the area with a flame, they heat the air by blowing it over a seal combustion chamber so it's unlikely they create water vapour.
I also doubt a wood burner generates water vapour either, if they did my main living area would be dripping with damp as ours often runs 24/7 for weeks at a time.

the old type of fire would take the air from inside of the building replaced with cold air from the outside, newer fires take the air from outside
horse crap wouldnt do what you want as you need a mix of materials in the heap

i wouldnt bother with storage heaters they may apear good but there not theres enough posts it runs out of heat or is no good even on this forum
transfer to water tank is much better or an oil tank as that can take alot more heat than water but there is issues with an oil tank to deal with
one good thing that a water tank has is you can have multiple inputs into it
so on bad days you can top up via another source of heat

A woodstove will definitely not make the place damp, it will do the opposite. I once fitted one in a caravan to replace his gas fire, which had turned the whole place into a sopping wet sponge with condensation soaking into everything. The owner came to see me the next day with a huge grin. He said that within twenty minutes of lighting it he could feel the heat getting everywhere and virtually see everything drying out. It's a hot box drawing wet air in and expelling it through the flue while kicking out heat.
