HB 950 Stonechip primer

Has anyone used this stonechip and can you tell me if after it's been dried if it needs a key for either the top base coat or another coat of stonechip ?

It does not say anything about this on their instructions.

never keyed stonchip in 16 years at a main dealer , no peeling issues at all

It's just i know schultz wont take a top coat yet the HB stuff says nothing about any top coat application.

if its that one ..let it dry overnight and prime/paint as you wish , if you worry about keyying it rub a red scotch pad over it carefully

With all the talk of only using etch or epoxy primer on bare steel for it's stick-ability, is stonechip primer just as good without using etch first ?

Remember, zinc primers stick to bare steel well.

I have used this and would never again. Plus it states to use plastofix adhesion promoter which is a plastic primer as this one is rubberised!

Yeah thats right, its not a primer as such, its a clear coating.

most plastic adhesion promoters tend to be clear or apers so as it is extremely thin.
