They are really good despite what others say. I don't sell welding machines so my opinion is a non bios one and I would highly recommend the minarc Mig.@Jim Davey have you sold many of these machines have many come back with issues
I'm very unbiased towards mine and in many ways wish I hadn't chose it. There are a lot of machines I've used I prefer for various different reasons and your top line ewm products are one of them. My opinion on the speed tech hasn't anything to do with what I own I just thought the minarc range was a lovely unit and from a usage PoV seemed a very well put together thing. I did some extensive use with one along side the caddy and both performed well through hard use. Nothing wrong with the Lincoln I just did not see it to be any better other than I'm not a lover of the others fixed torches.Nobody has an unbiased opinion really, if you sell you are biased (aparently) if you bought one you are biased (subconsciously) as that's the one you bought so it's almost an affront if someone else doesn't share the view its a good machine.
I don't think the GYS is better made than either the Lincoln or Kemppi but that's all I'm going to say before another thread degenerates into a "My welder can beat up your welder" lock fest.
Local is the way to go imho particularly with the units your looking at. I'm the same with regard to a euro torch it would be a deal breaker for me having something I can swap about and more importantly obtain universal spares for. That's the Minarcs down fall as you'd need to get shrouds, adaptors and tips locally and sensibly priced. Or pay more for the euro conversion kit?? @Jim Davey I wasn't saying your wrong, I can write a long list of improvements I could make with my Mls, I just couldn't find a reason to put build quality into that list speaking from a consistent user PoV@HughF yes mate I have seen the youtube videos that's how when I was in my local supplier we got chatting and he showed me what just arrived in stock and I was like I have seen then before on youtube but the flyer he gave me and youtube being mainly American views I needed a little English views
@richard kempis are good machines I've used kempi ever since I've been welding its no euro torch which is hassle plus if I buy a kempi id have to buy it 20 + miles away so if it did go wrong I've got to travel about 50 + mins to return it for repair
Well boys sad news for me is boc are closing my local agent so instead of pretty much a 0.5 miles away im looking at 15-20 miles away so looks like I got to build up some new relationships now
