Has anyone used the aldi warranty for small bits?

I have a regulator/oiler set I bought 2 years ago and having just got it out of the box (didn't want to rush into things) I have found it is faulty

I looked at the warranty booklets and it appears to be operated out of germany

has anyone rung the helpline?

do you have to send any faulty bits back to germany? if that is the case then it wouldn't be worth it

You only need to take it back to the shop with proof of the purchase date and they replace/reorder or refund with no problems at all.

I've had warranty claims on their electrical items with no problem for a refund, but repair was a different matter.

I was informed that they had not set up the system for repair with the manufacturer, hence no spares had been put in place.

Bit of a pain since the item in question was very good........

My warranty claim on an angle grinder- was ring up,--- have you got the receipt --YES, can you send the receipt or a copy to us--YES, so it was scanned and emailed straight away, brand new complete grinder arrived by courier next day, my intention was to buy an armature from them and repair the old one, just never got round to it.

probably the same as lidl parkside stuff ring them up email them a copy of the receipt and they send you a replacement for whatever is broken in my case a jet wash lance most people don't keep receipts or loose them I usually loose them before 3 years!

i had the same experience as ford did, rang up and was asked to send receipt to them, i emailed it and got another drill in the post

If you have proof of purchase they have one of the best no quibble returns arrangements on the high street

I bought a bike maintenance stand from Aldi a while ago, when I opened it up I found a small plastic clip on a telescopic tube to hold the wheel straight was broken. I wasn't going to bother to ring up as I didn't think I'd use it anyway, then I saw it was an 0800 number so I rang. I got a funny ringing tone & a German woman answered, I explained the problem & said if it was unobtainable I wasn't that bothered, but she said, ok no problem, I'll get a bit but it might take a little while as it would have to come from the East European makes. 2 days later postie comes down the drive with a Jiffy bag with a complete piece in. Brilliant service, pity everybody can't do it like that.
