Hi all, i'm relatively new to welding bar a couple of practices at an engineering place I worked as a draftsman, so its the usual what the hell should i buy blurb.....anyways I'm really tempted buy this little welder above, looked a the wolf and power king guff...and this fema one seems to have a good spec, 10 settings apposed to 6 on the wolf, holds 5kg reels, starts at 25amps - 130amps poss better for really thin 0.8mm sheet - runs on 13amp fuse, seems to be made in italy..not the best thing ever though...has a one years warranty.

now what I asking is not the blatent oh cheap welder bashing..but has anyone actually used it/own it..that can give review....?..

failing that I'm watching clarke 130e - gas only with bottle/ regulator included on ebay but its old and very rusty big areas of no paint just rust on it, guess i could weld the welderback together ha!. so seeing what it goes up to, the amps start at 30 I think..but i'm going to be welding thin sheet ?

looking closely at the fema...the picture has a dial with 10 settings but the listing says output control 4...abit confusingand misleading unless it means something else

bought a welder

Ok so I've manage to buy a welder, went against buying the fema one, managed to get a snap on pro mig 2000 for £195 second hand, has wire speed and amps/volts seperate...so my next question is, I need to get a regulator gas bottle and wire. how much gas is in the disposables, would a bottle allow me to weld say 10x 100mm x 100mm 1.5 thk panels, or should I go for a rental one, probably only time im going to use the welder at the moment is to do this one job but i intent to keep it to do others

I did buy the Fema mig. The same mail order Company that used to sell cheap SIP MIGs (150 DP) now sell the Fema MIGs instead. One good thing is it looks identical to Telwin ( the Chassis/Box and Welding torch). The specs are a little different. I hope that means easy access to parts if something goes wrong.
I have only used it once in gassless mode. Very easy to use maybe because I have gotten along With just an arc welder for a long time.
I also have the SIP DP 150, at another location for my Welding needs there.Just changed the torch liner so expect it is ok again.I brought along the wrong tip for the wire so not sure though.
