There are a pair of Harrison L lathes up for sale, with different sellers, both very local.
One is an early model, the other a later model. Both need a little work to make them 100%, power cross slide bar, changewheels, paint..
Now, I’m undecided currently on which to go for, the later model would be nice because it has an extended bed, but equally this would mean having to clear a much larger area.
Now, the first question obviously is how to lift and move either of them?
My understanding is that the early model is around 600kg, and a later model is around 700kg but that doesn’t take in to account the longer bed. I have an engine hoist and countless wheel dollies to get it rolling so it could then be lifted with a front loader at either end (as I’d drive it there!) and getting it off would be the reverse..or that’s how I envisage it
