Hi everyone , I've recently acquired my first ever cutting and welding torch kit, a real bargain.
But I need to convert the cutting attachment to propane, already contacted Harris Products Group, they gently gave me the contact to a local supplier ,I've contacted him .
He gave me three options.
#1 buy injector and cap for 56 euros and swap them myself (the advantages are cheapness and keep the acetilene injector)
#2 deliver the cutting attachment to Harris and they will swap the injector for me ,136 euros (advantage is useless to be said ,a job done from the company which produced the torch would surely be better then mine)
#3 use the promo "safety campaign" so send my attachment to death and buy a new one for 160 euros .(advantages are ,retire a 40+ years old cutting attachment that would probably not be safe anymore+ have a brand new improved one and oxy-propane ready)
Now I would like to keep the attachment since it has its age and surely would be much more tough than new ones, and brass has a very nice patina not dull but not polished shiny .
I personally already attempted to remove the injector cap but it's very thigh .
I believe it requires little bit of heat and an impact screwdriver (the ones you use with an hammer).
I don't know if it has right or left hand threads .
Did someone here already done something like that ?
