Anyone know the difference between the various models.
Brother in law has a 2000 883 sportster, he lives in spain. The Spanish are refusing to issue a test certificate, due to it not having a standard exhaust, he has lived in spain for a few years and it has never been a problem before.

I have been tasked with finding, a genuine exhaust, there is a couple in the states, but I would prefer a more local one.

I was thinking that any Harley exhaust from that era would fit.

Over a grand for a new one from Harley, and special order.

I messaged the bloke about that exhaust, but it is for a 2004, I think they had emission add ons about that time.

Harley`s dont go,stop or handle so why should they make a load of noise? Mine has non standard silencers and the MOT guy sucks through his teeth every time I take it in. @8ob, wouldn’t normally agree, but those RKs are a pig to stop, and feel like they arebending in the middle if you cane them in corners.

Got my Sisters 05’ 883 taking up valuable space at the mo, that doesnt like roundabouts

You need to get the exhausts to match the year, they often make subtle little changes. The tester will be looking for the eu approval markngs, or tu as in germany.

As for an 883 its a gurls bike! First thing people do to most harleys is swap the pipes, to slash cuts etc and do a stage 1 tune up. So should be loads of origional pipes about!

If they have it is just fitting for lambda sensors you can blank them off. For £99 I'd make them fit use your ingenuity or just the silencers.

I've seen this problem before with cars and Spanish "MOT". They need to be 100% original or manufacturer approved accessory.
