Hi, Im currently knee deep in the motor of my old jcb 3ciii, and one of the problems it has is the rocker arms are very badly worn. To the level that there is 4mm deep sockets wore into the pad which pushes the valve open.
The rocker arms are not available to buy, so two options are get them built up or do them myself...
Ive been recommended to build the pads back up with tig and hard facing rods, then grind to profile (which I can do myself).
Anyone know if this is feasible, what grade of filler to use or any other useful tips?
Thought hardox etc was just for bucket teeth, and if it IS good for this application Id rather do it myself and have the learning experience than send it out.
