It is a whole wheel, if you'd looked at the mask link you'd know what the job entails.

Humbrol tinlets are great, I use them all the time for modelling and for picking out little jobs like cast lettering in funny colours which are otherwise hard to find or expensive to get mixed, or you have to buy 500ml when you only need 10ml. I even used three tinlets to do the yellow bits on my lathe under the cross slide screw and wormbox - great value for money on small jobs. The key here is that the job isn't small, and there are cheaper alternatives especially when it's just black you're needing.

As Steveo said its not the whole wheel, just the centre detail and if I were to spray it, I would have called up 2k anyway.

1st thing - I never said he was spraying it!
2nd thing - Not a whole wheel but the most of one face of the rim. You're trying to cover silver with black so you are going to need several coats, a 50ml pot hasn't a chance of doing one wheel! Even if one pot will do a wheel you will need 4 pots which cost more than the one litre tin of tractol. With the big tin you will definitely have enough paint plus extra to touch in any stone chips. If you shop around you can get the tractol cheaper, I can buy it locally for £12 a litre.

That looks good. I have done some MGB wheels black first then silver.
