Finally getting round to refurbishing some old trailers I have and treated myself to hammered blue and hammered green from Hammerite as I could see on bits of the old trailers that the hammered blue had been used before and it looked great.
Anyway I spent quite a bit of time cleaning the metal on one trailer with a twist-knot brush in angle-grinder then brushes on the green.
It's a nice colour but l can't see any hammered effect in it. It looks metallic, which is nice, but I wanted hammered.
Is someone going to tell me 'oh that disappeared when they removed the lead content' or am I doing it wrong?
metal too clean perhaps?
needs 4 coats to appear?
hammered blue paint on old trailer. paint at least 40 years old
twist-knot wire brush
metal cleaned
hammered green just looks metallic
