hi,has anyone used Halfords to provide colour matched paint please and if so is it any good I am looking for teal blue, off a 1974 Midget, but if possible I would prefer to brush it on under wheel arches
Thanks
Before heading into your local store you'll want your paint code as that's what the halfords system works best with - or at least it did. You'll probably find that there are many different shades of teal blue so the more information you have the better the chance of an accurate match.
As for the match you have to take into consideration the fact that your car's paint has probably faded over the years. Whereas the paint that they will mix up for you should be exact to the paint as it originally was. If you find a particularly helpful shopslave they may be willing to try tweaking the mix to get a better match for you car, but this can have varied results. I would suggest taking your car with you if possible.
