Customer of mine has a US Pro one which to me seems better made than Snap On, and a lot less money.

When I saw them on Ebay thought they would be pretty shoddy, but seen a few for real now and they are anything but.................

Yet again thanks Chris, certainly pays to have a good look before you part with your hard earned, as richard states above, he has a snap on thats done the mileage and earned its keep. lets face it thats all any of us want.Arther

That's your dealer. We've had this discussion. Not all of them are as cooperative. And as your the only one I've heard of who's dealer is very giving I'd say you were of the minority bill

Good point, but the fact is that if I went to any dealer and they told me my breaker bar, ratchet etc wasn't going to be replaced when it should be I'd be telling them to think again and honor the warranty - you've already paid for it in the very high purchase price. Sometimes I think you have to be prepared to be very firm as there are plenty of people in the world who'll try it on.

Btw, my dealer wasn't forgiving on anything really that I can think of - it wasn't like I was bringing back things with inappropriate hammer marks etc suggesting abuse, just things that had genuinely failed in use.

I wouldnt touch ROC made Snap On toolbox of the type you get today, as they arent as good quality as the ones on Ebay, and cost about 6-7 times as much.............Older ones completely different though, but you are only going to get them used today.

speaking of SO, do many of you remember these few snap on tools that sold on e bay 5 yrs ago...
personally i dont think ill ever forget it tbh..
