Can’t say as I’ve had an issue and I’ve had a scaff bar on the half inch ratchet before todayHalfords are good for exchanging their Professional/Advance tools, unfortunately I find the quality of their socket sets to be sum what average and nothing worse than having to sack a job off because a tool has broken.
I’ve since passed on my Halfords socket sets to my brother in favour of Bahco, theirs not been chromed either are easier to keep hold of with greasy hands and much less time fishing for sockets out of the engine bay.
I am not sure you can take them back yet...lolFunnily enough the only chrome sockets I have ever had that rusted after a bit of rain were a couple of advanced Halfords.
As said black oxide rusts easier than chrome but is considered more durable against chipping = why impact tools are black.
The other issue is how good is the black oxide method used by Halfords? Strictly speaking I am surprised you can take them back with rust on. Nothing has broken and they are still fully functional.
The limited edition bit for black oxide is a real tummy tickler
They save money and charge you the same.
Do Halfords swap out their Advanced stuff if you don't have the receipt?
