Would a half inch electric file fit in the end of 30 mm box 2mm wall?

Depends....on which arm and end wheel you put on it.

The arms on a Makita 9032 (DBS180 is the 18v version, same arms) are 17mm tall.

For any that you are proposing to buy, look up the manufacturer's part diagram. The bearing dimeter at the end plus two belt thicknesses will be the smallest it will enter.
