i tend to favour the bahco sandflex bimetal ones. Never managed to snap one in proper use.

Eclipse all hard blades are the best by a long shot. Unless you are really unsteady with the saw, or cutting material thats likely to snag there is no need for bi-metal blades.

It's not just the blades, a good quality frame helps a lot, they tried some cheap frames at work, absolutely useless, just would not hold the blade tight or straight. At least I could blame the tools when a straight cut ended up at 45° !!!!
As Paul said there was a thread before on a similar question and what stuck in my head was the suggestion by Juggs to turn the blade round and pull in a Japanese saw stylee way, easier to get a straight cut he said, haven't tried it yet though.
