Hacked Computer???

I did have a desktop do all manner of strange things...that turned out to be a failing motherboard. It would often fail to boot...or just randomly shut down.

The admin thing is a bit odd though....I've had many failed SSDs ....but they tend to just shrink over time and then eventually have boot issues....but that's a bit different.

It would appear it is a universal issue. In my case it seems to be related to the graphics card drivers. Starngely also related to the power setting needing to be maximum performance nothing else works.
However becuse I wiped the hard drive I am having to try and remember what driver actually worked.

It shows up after trying to install cura but from what I have read its related to sound drivers and a lot of other programs.

essential I install the AMD Catalyst drivers and then try to install Cura. This fails with 1073741819 file system error and is all over the net with various success of solving it.

Seems the main problem is with the dual graphics card used in my laptop. Intel and ATImobility radeone , which seems to want an AMD driver...

I find windows updates can mess up a lot of stuff...for work I use various remote connection software tools.....each one has to be carefully setup to allow me access....then windows update comes along and thinks I should have the latest versions of everything!!!

The annoying thing is they don't notify me...so I waste a few hours faffing about!

I have wasted days and will be wasting more time trying to solve it. The bonus is as the problem has reappeared in a fresh formatted install of Windows Pro I have now confirmed its to do with the graphics card........switchable graphics.

I don't even know if I could fit an alternative as it's a laptop.
